I thought this was a boring movie. But it is one of those films that you want to watch because it somehow attracts your interest.

The acting was good but in my opinion not strong enough to disguise the long-windedness.

Very solid crime film with a fairly impressive star cast such as James Caan, Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix, Ellen Burtsyn and Charlize Theron. It is not easy as a former criminal - you can safely extend the line to the poverty risk - if you return or are only familiar with your trusted cocoon. Even though Leo resolves to stay out of trouble, he unknowingly tumbles back into it. Then there is no going back.

The world of corruption between the police, local authorities and contractors is nicely explained through the railways. Nice and dark and gray, a perfect atmosphere for the film. White-collar crime is one thing, but harsher actions such as threats, extortion, sabotage and physical violence are also not shunned.

At times a bit muddy, but always entertaining. A plot in which family ties are of little importance and only saving your own skin takes precedence. It will never be a hit, but the actors do well. It's a movie I saw mostly from Leo's perspective and less from the crime genre. So it's more of a drama. Just that little bit short to really distinguish itself from the average, but I did not regret it.
