The Love Racket plot
Betty Brown is a decorator. She loves George Wayne and goes with him to a mountain cabin on the condition that he marry her in the future, but he soon leaves her. Betty goes to Europe to forget about the affair with George and she meets Fred Masters. Fred falls in love with her, but she refuses to marry him because of her past. But when Fred's married sister convinces her she's stupid if she doesn't marry him, Betty becomes his wife. Later, Betty and Fred are sworn in as a juror in a trial against a young woman accused of murdering her lover. He had left her after fathering a child with her. Betty is surprised to realize that George Wayne was this man and is immediately faced with a dilemma: should her experiences with George influence her choice between guilty or innocent?
