Fans of Lee Marvin may have been a bit disappointed because their actor, due to the narrative flashbacks, did not appear in the play for quite some time, but it was still a good, entertaining film, with Ronald Reagan as a curiosity, who plays very well.

Good film about two hitmen who wonder why their last job went so easily. A simple but entertaining plot (especially because of the narrative structure consisting of a few long flashbacks). Otherwise a typical crime film by Don Siegel with a fine cast. A small 3.5 stars.

Completely agree with 'mstoffer'. Reagan is indeed not a top actor, but he does quite well here. Great performance by Gulager and Marvin. Especially Marvin's final scene. Great how he acts there. Otherwise a wonderful 60s crime film.
