The Hollywood Detective plot
"Until now, he's only been shot with a camera."
After twenty years in Hollywood as a detective on a TV show, Harry Powell (Savalas) is a sidelined actor. He is lonely and out of work and decides to commit suicide. Then he gets a lot of money from a fan to track down a missing actor. This way the TV detective can get back to work, this time as a real detective.
