The Devil's Teardrop plot

When Washington DC is terrorized by a serial killer, the only piece of evidence FBI Agent Margaret Lukas has to deal with is a ransom note. Desperate to solve the case before the killer strikes again, Officer Lukas turns to renowned handwriting analyst Parker Kincaid. Kincaid is a former FBI agent who quit after his young son was attacked by an escaped killer who Kincaid helped capture. While he joins forces with Lukas to track down the killer, he also battles his ex-wife for custody of his children.
