The Adventures of Jane Arden plot

Socialite Martha Blanton is murdered. She turns out to be part of a gang of jewelry smugglers. The police arrest a suspect, but reporter Jane Arden is convinced they have the wrong person. She goes undercover to expose the gang, but her mission becomes more and more dangerous when one of the gang members discovers her real identity.
