Deray delivers an atmospheric, quite suspenseful, and certainly well-made crime film here, expertly supported in terms of the cast by Jean Rochefort (a somewhat too boyish appearance for a crook), Michel Auclair, Charles Vanel...
The ending is surprising and shows that the pursuit of perfection can also be fatal, but for that reason, not entirely without reason.
