Silent Witness plot
"Even gangland's cleverest "mouthpiece" meets his Waterloo with the D.A.'s blonde bombshell!"
District Attorney Robert Holden and his special investigator Betty Higgins try to get the criminal brothers Joe and Lou Manson convicted after both are charged with murder. However, their lawyer Bruce L. Strong gets them released by the testimony of Mrs. Roos, who commits perjury. Jockey Carlos, one of the Mansons' gang members, thinks he didn't get his rightful share of the proceeds. When he says this to the Mansons, they shoot him. The mortally wounded Carlos is still able to crawl into Robert Holden's office and tell his story. The Mansons then contact Strong and tell him that Carlos has leaked and that they now want to kill Holden. Strong tries to track down Holden to warn him.
