Somewhere in the south of the GDR is the small industrial town of Isenau, where everyone knows each other. In the local car factory, everyone would go through fire for each other. But one day, two vehicles from a new production crash. However, the research shows that there is deliberate intent. Here and there a number of suspicions are expressed, which then disappear and come back stronger a little later. Finally, State Security officials push their investigation so far that the arrest of the perpetrator, who works for a number of Western concerns, is inevitable. But various events pile up and at the very last moment the perpetrator is caught, just before he can cross the border…
