Masquerade Night plot
The body of a young woman is found in the chic Hotel Cortesia in Tokyo. She was murdered in a striking way. An anonymous tip arrives at police headquarters that the killer will strike again during the costumed New Year's Eve ball at the hotel. Detective Nitta is sent to the hotel to conduct an undercover investigation. In the hotel he meets old acquaintances such as the janitor Yamagishi.
