Le Faux Magistrat plot
To avoid bankruptcy, the Marquess of Tergall is forced to sell his wife's jewels. But both the jewels and his last money are stolen by two members of Fantômas's gang. Meanwhile, Fantômas himself is in prison in Belgium. In a desperate attempt to bring the master criminal to justice in France, Inspector Juve plots his escape, but the plan fails. Fantômas escapes and Juve ends up in prison in his place. Fantômas assumes the identity of the investigating judge and wastes no time in plotting shady plans and making maximum use of his new identity.
