Inspector Chodaque (Jean Yanne) and his female colleague Monique Trechois (Mimi Coutelier) are tasked with solving the kidnapping of a popular television host. The TV station even organizes a special program to get a ransom from the viewers. Inspector Chodaque fears it may not be about kidnapping at all.
