Gangsters on the Loose plot

When Harlem mobster Ed "Mugsy" Moore kills a guard during a robbery at Zemanski's Fur Loft, he is reprimanded by the healer Bill Pierce, who is said to receive the stolen fur. Pierce then suggests that Mugsy go into hiding for a while. Gangster sweetheart Kay Latour is proud of Mugsy when he threatens to kill Bill Pierce for refusing to buy the stolen fur from him. Meanwhile, Police Captain Holmes, pressured by the Commissioner to solve the murder case, assigns Police Lieutenant Lester to investigate the robbery.
