Weak remake.

Although it is not an official adaptation of 'The Defiant Ones', it comes close. Where that classic was especially worthwhile because of the actors and dialogues, here it is the action that takes the upper hand.

The end result is little more than a poorly acted, standard action thriller with all the clichés and predictability that entails.

Average.

Oh well, I grew up with these kind of smooth action movies in the 80s and 90s. One of those in between always fascinates me. Put your mind to zero and enjoy. This is what this kind of nonsense is made for. I think this Baldwin brother is quite a sad actor, and the lows in the film all have to do with him. Fortunately Fishburne balances the film somewhat and sometimes a joke flies by. I enjoyed myself quite a bit, because it is not a film that you will quickly get bored with. There's too much going on for that. I had actually hoped that the two guys would be chained together for almost the entire movie. Could be quite something, but no, Hayek had a key handy

PS : Baldwin at one point tries to impress with his super PC with 16 MB microprocessor and 720 MB hard drive, which he calls the Ducati of the computer.
