Double Identity plot
As a doctor at Doctors Without Borders, Nick Pinter (Val Kilmer) happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time during his visit to Sofia, Bulgaria. As a result, he becomes involved in the power struggle surrounding a multi-billion dollar contract between the former Soviet republic of Kargykistan and one of the largest diamond merchants in the world. The contract that Kargykistan has to date with a powerful cartel is coming to an end and the cartel is committed to extending that contract. Kargykistan's ambitions to do business directly with the final seller is thus thwarted and Nick finds himself caught up in an international conspiracy and pitted against experienced killers.
