Der Mann im Strom plot

55-year-old salvage worker Jan (Jan Fedder) becomes unemployed. The single father moves with his children Lena (Lea Draeger) and Timm (Fabian Meier) to Hamburg, to look for a job as a diver in the harbor. He succeeds, although he has to forge his diving certificate to do so. During an illegal dive to a sunken cargo ship, which is said to contain 40,000 euros, he is caught by the port police.
