Das Dorf des Schweigens plot

Lydia returns to her native village of Bad Gastein after years of absence. For decades no one had heard of her. Her sister Eva has tried in vain to contact her all these years and all this time she had a feeling of lack in her life. Upon her return, Lydia claims that she was raped by Eva's then-husband when she was 14. Everyone believes in his innocence, yet Christian, the man in question, is in danger of losing his job. A little later Christian's body is found and the police assume suicide. Eva investigates the family history to discover what really happened.
