Martha, 18, has a form of autism that makes her a math genius, but unable to take care of herself. She lives in a boring daily routine with her cousin Nicole and mother Josephine. She sees no harm in anything and anyone. One day her mother is murdered in front of Martha, after which she ends up in a foster family. Nicole is distraught and fights for custody but the police keep working against her. Until one point, the detective Velez gives in, on one condition; Martha must help find her mother's killer.
