Bronx plot
In Marseille, a complex form of rivalry between gangs and a group of cops unfolds. A loyal cop fighting these gangs uses unorthodox methods. Together with his rival, he investigates a shooting at a local nightclub while also trying to protect his team.

I had absolutely no trouble with the different (according to some, many) characters.
A great French film that is never boring for a moment.
What was supposed to be a surprising ending I found to be nothing more than an easily rushed conclusion.

A hard, raw French drama offering a glimpse into the corrupting world of power within the bureaucracy and crime. Interpersonal relationships in all forms, involving adultery and blackmail, lead to a well-conceived climax by Marchal. Gautry delivers excellent acting. Reno carries on his name. The whole thing is quite realistic if you delve into the drug shipments from Morocco and what the Spanish police attempt to do about it. Combine this with further transport towards France, with Corsica as a base. Powerful, entertaining, and intense. (American films rarely reach this level). 4.1* (Bronx, French street slang, incidentally stands for lawless chaos)
