A Shot through the Wall plot
"It only takes one shot."
Mike Tan, a Chinese-American police officer from Brooklyn, accidentally fires his weapon during a chase into an apartment building. An innocent African-American boy is killed as a result, after which Mike is temporarily suspended and brought to trial for manslaughter. While grappling with his guilt, Mike tries to defend himself against the heavy charges and fierce accusations of public opinion.
