Wondrous Oblivion plot
London, the sixties. Eleven-year-old David Wiseman loves cricket, even if he's not very good at it. He has a professional outfit, but not the talent to match. That's why he is always bullied at school. When he gets a Jamaican family as neighbors and they build a cricket net in their backyard, David is in heaven. Befriending his new neighbors and taking cricket lessons, he is finally accepted at school. But then racial tensions arise in the neighborhood when other neighbors start making it difficult for the newcomers. David must choose between fitting in and standing up for the new friends who have turned his world upside down.
