If the new homeowner Zwicknagel gets a flower pot upside down on his first visit, this is dismissed as an accident. But the incident has serious consequences for the residents. Zwicknagel immediately shows his worst side and makes life miserable for the tenants with all kinds of prohibitions. Soon they are at war with each other and especially with the Kleinschmidt family. Then Monika Zwicknagel comes back from England and meets Wolfgang Kleinschmidt. Both immediately fall in love, something Monika's parents are not happy about.
