Why Be Good? plot
Pert Kelly is a wild but virtuous young woman. She meets Peabody at a roadside diner. Jr. and they make an appointment for the following evening. The next day Pert is late for work and she has to report to the hiring manager. That turns out to be Peabody. Jr. to be. Pert is fired at the urging of Peabody Sr., who owns the store. Peabody Jr. however, is still impressed by Pert and invites her to a party with his parents.
