"A comedy about passion, murder and things that can only happen in the movies"

Wilton and AJ have the ambition to become well-known documentary makers. After their flopped debut, however, they have trouble being taken seriously. Determined to make it all the way, they embark on their next project: a documentary about private detectives in Los Angeles. Their guide through the city, however, is the incompetent Joe Boone.
