Wat Is Dan Liefde plot
Divorce lawyer Cato gets the chance to become a partner at a commercial firm that needs change. Filling your pockets ruthlessly is so 2017 and Cato seems to be the right person to teach the brash lawyers a bit of morality. She is idealistic, ambitious and unimpressed by the Old Boys Network. Until she meets colleague Gijs, who represents everything that Cato detests. Quite a relief if you compare this with most Dutch films in this genre.
I don't think there is any country where so many dramatic romantic comedies have been made as our country. This movie is really hard, it's actually quite fun.
It is difficult to articulate exactly how this happened. Elise Schaap is in any case a positive factor, but Maarten Heijmans and Jesse Meester are also just fine.
The story is not very good, the film has to have really nice scenes and situations, and there are quite a lot of them. Of course after a month or two you won't know what this movie was about, but this is one of the better romantic comedies in years.
