Mediocre.

Bit of mixed feeling about Green's fourth Hatchet movie. On the one hand, it is nice that he is still acting as director of this series, on the other hand it also raises some questions. It's not that he hasn't done anything outside the Hatchet series, but returning to the same, quite simple, universe for a fourth time isn't an immediate sign that his career is going well.

This fourth part unabashedly plays on humor. Not even black humor, just pure, unadulterated comedy (the moment with the announcements on the plane, for example). It's not exactly Green's strong point, but on the other hand it keeps the film light, which was essential to make something of it.

In terms of horror, it's pretty brutal, with a few fun kills. On the other hand, Crowley has really become a moron. He looks ridiculous, acts ridiculous and doesn't come across as scary at all. It is therefore a film that counts on the goodwill of its audience to enjoy what is served.

It was fun for a while, but unfortunately that's about it. It all looks a bit cheap and it's not funny, gross or over the top enough to just overlook it.

2.5*

When I found out ( by chance ) very late that a new part of Hatchet had actually been released , I decided to binge them , ie saw all parts in two evenings in a row .

They don't get any better I can tell you.

I'm really just about the funny chills and it's full of that, but the decors are really so cheap, you can just see that it's a studio.

Part two is still my favorite , and the funniest .

This was the weakest part in the series in my opinion , the advantage of this franchise is that they are all very short although this part is the crowning glory .

I give this a 2.5 * because of the first scene on the boat, which made me think I was watching a scary movie, top comedy scene.

And the ending at the plane was also very funny .

Other than that I can not really report anything positive .

It looks even cheaper than the previous parts, the blood fountains are really not funny anymore after two parts.

The acting is worthless.

Nice gimmick remains that there are actors who are mainly known from well-known horror films in this part Laura Ortiz was known from The Hills Have Eyes.

Mediocre addition, okay for once. 2.5*
