Vater Macht Karriere plot

The small state of Waldenburg was already a republic and duchy, but now wants to try it as a free people's state. 22 parties are taking part in the parliamentary elections, but there is no real favorite for the role of prime minister. Ironically, two birds in a beer glass are to blame for the fact that the enterprising tailor Titus Hasenklein ends up on the list of the 'Party of the Golden Middle Way'. Coincidentally, he is also the father of the very beautiful Margot, who wants to marry Axel, the son of the current foreign minister. But is it possible to marry a master tailor's daughter to a minister's son?
