Vanishing America plot

Flipping through old funny books in his parents' attic, 30-year-old Rich Hall recalls that the "Junior Seed Sales Club of America" owes him a basketball from when he was eight years old. Rick decides to travel across America to claim his prize. Then he finds out that there isn't much of America left.
