"He'll make you a star if it kills him."
A Hollywood agent thinks he's got his hands on gold when he bumps into a brilliant child star in the form of 13-year-old Lydia. He tries to make a mega deal that will make her a star, but in the meantime also has to deal with her alcoholic father. In his desperate efforts to close the deal, he increasingly realizes that the young, innocent Lydia may not be quite what she seems.
