In any case, I liked it a lot more than when I saw it in the cinema as a kid. Because then most of the humor escaped me completely. Things could have been cut short here and there, but hey, it's forgivable. There are plenty of hilarious moments in the film that make up for it. 3*

The adult children with the glasses and the hare teeth Theo [Arjan Ederveen] and Thea [Tosca Niterink] made this feature film at the height of their fame. Those unfamiliar with the series will initially have a hard time getting used to the idiosyncratic style that this film faithfully follows. Theo and Thea are recording their adaptation of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs in which they play all the roles themselves, except that of the Prince who is to be played by Gerard Joling. If he cancels at the last minute, the entire project is in jeopardy. Fortunately, Theo and Thea come across the ideal replacement on television: the famous baritone Marco Bakker, who makes fun of himself in an excellent way. They know how to get them, but Marco turns out to be the linchpin in a plot by the evil Brigitta Berger [Adèle Bloemendaal, also excellent]. The uninitiated immediately know where they stand after the opening scene. Cheap sets and sets, childish jokes and bizarre twists everywhere, but that's exactly what makes Theo and Thea so endearing. “Childish innocence always wins!” says Theo. A nice thought, even if a feature film turns out to be a bit too long for this formula.

I read a lot of negative comments above. This is truly a love it or hate it movie. Hilarious for children from a VPRO nest. A little less for adults, but there's still plenty to smile about. Anyway, it's fairly unique; I don't know of any foreign children's films that show this kind of absurdism.
