Baptista has two daughters: Kate and Bianca. All the men want the beautiful Bianca but no one is interested in the other, Kate. However, Baptista doesn't want to give Bianca away until Kate is married. All the men go in search of the man who would like to marry Kate, so that Bianca can be free of her father.
