The Speed Girl plot

The actress Betty Lee is a fast young lady in every way, except in love. The young naval officer Tom Manley is her lover. Millionaire Carl D'Arcy also has a crush on Betty and he tries to make Manley look bad in her eyes. Real trouble begins for Betty when her flirtation makes Tom late to board his ship. When Betty realizes that Tom will be court-martialed if he doesn't get to San Diego on time, she quickly brings him in her car. However, the jealous Carl D'Arcy has notified the authorities and despite Tom still making it to his ship in time, Betty is now arrested for speeding.
