The Match plot

"It's a game of two pubs!"

There are two pubs in the Scottish village of Inverdourne. Benny's bar is a ruin with an eccentric clientele. Le Bistro is a stylish modern establishment. There is a bet between the pubs. Whoever loses the 100th annual football game closes his business for good. Benny's bar isn't in very good shape, having lost the previous 99 games.
