The Man Who Walked Alone plot
"He Was A One-Man Army - She A One-Girl Blitz!"
War hero Corporal Marion Scott is discharged from the army for medical reasons. On the way, Scott runs into Wilhelmina Hammond, who is on the run on her wedding day in her fiancé Alvin Bailey's car. Wilhelmina gives Scott a lift and during the ride she explains her situation to him. On the way, both are stranded when the gas tank is empty, but are then accused of car theft by passing officers and arrested. At the police station, Wilhelmina is eventually able to identify herself, but Scott is mistaken as a deserter.
