The Importance of Being Earnest plot

The entanglements surrounding wealthy Londoner Algernon and his out-of-town friend Jack (who calls himself Ernest in the town), who have fictional friends who serve as excuses to fulfill their social obligations. They call these lies 'Bunburying'. When Jack wants to marry Algernon's cousin Gwendolyn, problems arise, not least because of her terrifying mother Lady Bracknell.
