The Homebreaker plot

Mary Marbury works as a traveling salesman for Abbott & Son. She's secretly in love with her son, Raymond Abbott, but he's constantly chasing showgirls. Meanwhile, a con man posing as a nobleman wants to seduce his sister, Lois. Because her father, Jonas Abbott, wants Raymond to marry Mary, they devise a plan together. Jonas pretends to be madly in love with Mary, and she pretends to be pleased by his advances. The children are shocked by their father's antics. The commotion causes Raymond to fall for Mary, and Lois discovers that her sweetheart is an imposter.
