The Girl Friend plot
"Huggable, Kissable Ann! All America's girl friend in a song-sprayed spree of giddy gaiety!"
Producer George S. Harmon has too many irons in the fire to buy the musical comedy about Napoleon written by George Thorne, Sunshine Minton and Doc Parks. He returns the script, but it turns out to be a serious drama about Napoleon, actually written by Henry A. Henry. Broke, the boys decide to take up Henry's invitation to discuss it with him at the ranch, leading Thorne to romance Haley's niece, Linda. When Thorne reads Henry's version of the script, he says it's ready for the trash. However, Henry and his grandmother have already jumped in at the deep end and started building a theater on the farm.
