The Duchess of Buffalo plot

Early 20th century. American dancer Marian Duncan is touring Russia. Marian falls in love with the young army officer Lieutenant Vladimir Orloff and the feeling is mutual. Vladimir's father, the Grand Duke Gregory Alexandrovich of Russia, despite being married to the Grand Duchess Olga Petrovna, has his sights set on Marian. Therefore, Alexandrovich does not allow his son to marry Marian. Complications are inevitable.
