Lara Tyler is one of the most famous movie stars in the world, but she only wants to marry her fiancé, writer James Aubrey. Haunted by paparazzi, especially Marco Ballani who seems obsessed with her, they flee to the small Scottish island of Hegg to get married in peace. However, when the media gets wind of this, Lara becomes very upset and flees. Her manager Steve Korbitz then decides to stage a fake marriage to mislead the press. Abandoned at the altar herself, local girl Katie is hired to replace Lara. But is James sure that Lara is his true love?
