Paul Van Arsdale and his wife are extremely wealthy. They live in a spacious villa and both have very busy lives. Consequently, they have neither the time nor the inclination to take care of their children, Jason and Bea. Several governesses have already passed in review, but none of them could bear the bullying of the two glands. Thief Edie, who has been released from prison - albeit against her will - decides to accept the latest ad from the Van Arsdales. Jason and Bea immediately like the new dowdy governess, but the kids don't know what Edie is planning for them.
