Lum Edwards (Chester Lauck) is angry with his business partner and friend Abner Peabody (Norris Goff) because the latter has exchanged their car, which they use for the orders, for a racehorse. Lum is also too shy to propose to Geraldine (Zasu Pitts), so he decides to stage a play with Abner in which he saves her. After the second attempt, she is finally impressed and sends him a letter.
