Sukedachi-ya Sukeroku plot

Sukeroku (Hiroyuki Sanada) is a notorious sukedachiya (rent avenger), but never draws his sword and takes revenge on his victims by publicly belittling them. After wandering around for seven years, he decides to return to his hometown. A group of samurai has gathered there for a vendetta and of course he offers them his services. However, the samurai completely ignore him and Sukeroku decides to contact their intended victim, the ancient samurai Umetaro Katakura (Tatsuya Nakadai).
