"What's a little kidnapping among friends?"
"Do you have guts? Then we kidnap Frank Sinatra Jr." No joke, but a serious proposal from Barry Keenan, a born loser who wants to escape his suffocating environment. Sure, it's a crime, but why wouldn't it work? He can invest the ransom, become a millionaire, and maybe one day go into politics. Barry can already see it all. His gullible accomplices are John Irwin, a thoroughly American ex-Marine, and school friend Joe Amsler. In addition, their victim is only 19 years old, vulnerable, friendly and accommodating. He'll keep his mouth shut. And for his fledgling career, the publicity is only beneficial.
