Stalled plot
Christmas Eve. A maintenance man - soon to be in trouble - replaces light bulbs and cleans the toilets instead of drinking eggnog and flirting with drunken receptionists at the annual office party. Unfortunately, this desolate cleaner chooses to use the women's restrooms when a zombie plague breaks out. Will he surprise us and flush the undead or will he - as was usual in his pre-apocalyptic life - completely block?

Little interest to be seen here. However, very worthwhile. Nice, small concept and even more powerful in the execution. Pretty funny, gory, creative... Has a little bit of everything. Perhaps not as special as my voice makes it seem, but it wins a lot of sympathy and is one of the few positive contributions in zombie land this year.

Nice film...a bit cheap and lacks a bit of originality...but you can see that this film was made with pleasure.
You have to be very good if you want to remain original in the zombie genre... but it was a good attempt.

Director Christian James' second horror film is also the second collaboration between him and actor Dan Palmer, who plays the (dorky) main character. Stalled is an idea that seems simple at first glance, but ultimately includes more than you would think. Unfortunately, the concept of someone being locked in a toilet cubicle is quite limited and that weighs on you after a while. The horror is designed in a graphic way that is often comical, but the layout of the zombies is limited and the gray cinematography does not always make Stalled a feast for the eyes. The story comes into its own when the relationship between Palmer and Antonia Bernath is developed, which concludes in a special way. James's emotion-evoking approach is surprisingly strong, but is at odds with the slightly absurd zombie tone. The frequent lack of any sense of logic destroys the final conclusion and prevents me from giving Stalled a passing grade.
