Stage Struck plot
Jennie is a waitress in a river town in West Virginia. Every day she tries to impress a small audience. In her dreams she is a famous actress, irresistible to men. The problem is, her boyfriend, the cook Olme, doesn't even know she's alive. He is madly in love with an actress on a theater boat. Jennie takes a job on the boat and wants to impress the audience in order to get Olme's attention.
