Soft Fruit plot

"It's not where you're going in life - it's who's going with you."

Three sisters and a brother reunite after fifteen years when their mother is dying. Mother Patsy (Jeanie Drynan) undergoes the oppressive care of her daughters Josie, Nadia and Vera. The three battle it out over everything from their many diets to their mother's medical care. Father Vic keeps aloof and shoots birds from the trees. Patsy wants to use the last weeks of her life to go to the beach one last time, to visit Paris and to see her daughter Vera get married. She also wants to be embalmed after her death and honored with 21 gun salutes. Son Bo, out of prison for the occasion, helps his mother enjoy her last days.
