Signorinella plot
Two suspicious figures who have just stolen a luxurious American car are just a few kilometers from a small village in the Abruzzo, when they are begged to take a girl who is not feeling well. After dropping off the girl named Maria at home, they decide to refresh themselves in a nearby cottage. Meanwhile, it is rumored that one of them is a cousin of Maria, who has emigrated to America, and whose name is the registration of the car. The alleged cousin and his friend are thus received with all due respect. The arrival of the alleged wealthy cousin leads the mayor to agree to the marriage of his son and Maria, which he previously opposed. But Maria, who works at the telegraph, learns that the car has been stolen. Embittered, she flees to Naples, where her betrothed lives in exile. The notary of the village goes looking for her. Meanwhile, Maria's real cousin, the real owner of the stolen car, arrives and makes sure everything falls into place.
