Shûu plot
"The sadness of the fight is the sadness of love. The joy and decline of life that only couples know"
Fumiko is unhappy in her marriage and has become increasingly cynical as a result. She is therefore not surprised when her niece Ayako comes to visit and in turn also complains about her marriage. Meanwhile, Fumiko gets new neighbors: this also turns out to be an unhappily married couple. The two couples develop a strange relationship, which threatens to break both marriages, but neither of them seems to care.
