After seeing it pop up a few times on Netflix, I decided to give the movie a watch.

To be honest, I knew this movie wasn't much to speak of, so I had low expectations before watching it. Unfortunately, these expectations were just a little too high.

For me, the problem lies mainly with the acting and the storyline. I noticed that they recruited the entire Brugklas cast, who generally did a good job, but Gio, who took on a lead role without any acting experience, was a disaster.

The storyline is also very simple. If you plan to pump a lot of money into a film, don't take the first idea put on the table. It didn't come across as realistic at all either. Certainly not as a 'comedy'. I laughed more at the actors' bumbling than at the actual script.

Another point that bothered me incredibly is that the film is full of commercials for, among others: Axe, Praxis, Fiat, Range Rover, etc. I understand, of course, that they have to make a profit, but this was really milked dry.

I do want to praise the camerawork, though. There are some nice drone shots and beautiful transitions here and there.

Overall, there was nothing wrong with the direction itself, but there were also absolutely no extremely good points to criticize.

So that's why half a star. Thanks to the skillful camerawork and direction, there were still parts in the film where I didn't want to throw a brick through my monitor.

Watched it on DVD for the first time today; I pulled this film off the shelf and was in the mood for something lighthearted.

I thought it was a fun and entertaining movie; you're immediately hooked right from the start because Gio's parents go on vacation, and as soon as they're gone, it's time for a party with all the consequences that entails.

After that, we see a huge mess, and Gio has to find a way to make money by taking on all kinds of odd jobs, but he keeps getting fired because he can't do anything.

We also see two clumsy construction workers who do practically nothing, and then his neighbor girl, whom he falls in love with.

In the end, they made a plan, and it becomes a race against time because his parents are already returning from vacation.

So it was an entertaining film; I didn't find any boring parts, and many famous names appear, such as Snelle, the entire Latooy family, Vincent Visser, and Emma Keuven.

The only thing that bothered me was the big Praxis advertisement in the film; that could have been toned down a bit.
