Private Affairs plot

Amos Bullerton is the son of an old and wealthy Boston family. Amos has been living as a "black sheep" for 20 years instead of following the dictates of his frugal family. His daughter Jane Bullerton finds herself in the same dilemma, imposed by her headstrong grandfather Noble Bullerton. Although Jane is engaged to the snobbish Herbert Stanley, she is in love with Jimmy Nolan, who, like Amos, does not sit well with the Bullerton family.
